The beam's center is the safest place to place heavy objects, while the edges help confirm its location. Depth scanning can penetrate two layers of drywall, with a maximum depth of 38mm (1.5 inches). The "Deep Rig Scan" mode is a highly sensitive scanning mode suitable for situations with multiple layers of wallboard.
