This kit is for Downy Paws pet water fountain filter cartridges. The replacement kit is compatible with 2.5-liter (84-ounce) cordless pet water fountains. The four-stage filtration system includes: a non-woven fabric filter layer to effectively trap hair and impurities, keeping the water clean; activated carbon to remove odors, purify the water, and keep it fresh; a filter stone to remove heavy metals and release trace elements; ion exchange resin to soften tap water and improve taste; and a pre-filter sponge, made of high-density sponge, to remove fine particles and impurities, preventing them from entering the water pump and extending its lifespan. To maintain filtration effectiveness, it is recommended to replace the filter cartridges and sponge every two weeks. If you have multiple pets, clean the water fountain and replace the filter cartridges more frequently. Before replacing the filter cartridge, soak it for 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly for 30 seconds. This prevents contaminants from entering the water and keeps it clean.
